11-9-1953 California:Shigoo Kurlhara, 27, a Japanese prisoner who was serving a sentence at San Quentin as a sex offender, committed suicide in his prison cell yesterday.
Warden Clinton Duffy said Kurlhara slashed his throat with a razor and attempted to strangle himself with a radio cord.
