BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Morton County Detention Center inmate jailed for a probation violation and failure to register as a sex offender has died of his injuries suffered in a suicide attempt.
Morton County Sheriff Dave Shipman tells the Bismarck Tribune that Jon Nadeau attempted suicide by hanging on Oct. 25. The sheriff says Nadeau died Monday, after his family removed him from life support at a local hospital.
Shipman says Nadeau had been an inmate at the jail since September.
Shipman says it was the jail's first death since it opened in 1986. ..Source.. by WDAY6.com

With hope the detention center has video camaras , and general population of discrimination of offense was not the cause , if so , should be explained and not hidden for the issue of a new facility and an under educated staff . For the parents there is plenty of sorrow to go around . But the facts that are never told is there is no better way after a conviction for there is really no life after release , guilty or inocent . Any time family is affected with a death like this, it's tragic. it is truly sad all the way around. It's a shame that inmates can die while being in a local jail or prison like this. Prayers needed.
