2-13-2012 Florida:The partially decomposed remains of a man found Sunday in a remote area of Dunns Creek State Park have been identified as 37-year-old Dwight S. McDaniel of Satsuma.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office said it's an apparent suicide. McDaniel, a registered sex offender, had been missing since Jan. 31. It was initially thought he may have absconded because of his sex-offender status. McDaniel was last seen walking over the Dunns Creek Bridge near the area where his body was eventually found.
He was convicted in 1991 on charges of sexual battery and false imprisonment, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s registered sexual offender database. ..Source.. by Scott Butler
